Since December 11 Katowice has been officially named 'The City of Music”. Joining this prestigious Network of the Creative Cities is the best proof that Katowice is one of the most important music centres in Europe and in the world.


To celebrate the great success, the City of Katowice invites everyone to the concert taking place on Friday, 18 December at 4 pm in the square right in front of The Stanisław Wyspiański Theatre. The concert will feature:


RGG – Polish Jazz Trio, whose improvised music has been widely recognized. The ensemble consists of Maciej Garbowski (bass guitar), Krzysztof Gradziuk (drums) and Łukasz Ojdana (piano).


VOŁOSI – an ensemble deriving their energy straight from the Silesian Beskid Mountains, composed of talented classically-trained musicians and graduates of The Music Academy in Katowice.The Best Awards winners, promoted by popular radio stations such as Dwójka and Trójka will enchant everybody with their original performance.


Abradab – a Polish hip-hop legend. A co-founder of Kaliber 44 who launched his solo career after winning the prestigious awards with the ensemble
